Maura M. Guyer, Pt, PRC
Maura graduated from the University of Vermont's physical therapy program in 2002. She has worked in an outpatient practice for most of her career. She earned a certification in the Postural Restoration (PRC) approach to PT in 2005. She enjoys working with people of all ages and looking at the whole body to develop treatment plans. She has continued her education through the Institute of Physical Art learning Functional Manual Therapy, Polestar Pilates earning Level 1-6 certificates in teaching pilates and incorporating pilates into treatments, and the University of New England Osteopathic Manual Medicine. Among other additional training, Maura is certified in using instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) to improve function and performance and is also trained in Dry Needling to improve pain and soft tissue dysfunction. Maura enjoys working with PT students from UVM to help them develop their skills as physical therapists. In her free time, Maura loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, spending time with her extended family and friends, enjoying the lake and mountains of Vermont, skiing and traveling.
